The company was established as a GLAHCO subsidiary in 1982 as Ghana Libyan-Arab Agricultural Company (GLAACO). The company then acquired a large tract of land (8,467 acres) at Makodzi near Sogakope in the Volta Region for integrated commercial farming. It cultivated 500 acres mainly of mangoes, becoming the largest mango plantation in the country won awards at District, Regional and National Farmers Day awards for several years running. read more
